What We Do

CARES Northwest is a collaborative, community-based medical program for the assessment, treatment and prevention of child abuse. We provide a safe, child-friendly environment for the assessment of children for whom there are concerns of physical or sexual abuse, neglect and exposure to domestic violence. When someone is worried a child's been physically or sexually abused or exposed to violence, we're that specialized medical clinic where they come for evaluation and we recommend treatment and follow-up. In the past 30 years, we've provided medical evaluations to over 36,000 children, and strengthened our commitment to stopping child abuse by developing child abuse prevention and trauma therapy services.
