Guardian Partners works to keep vulnerable Oregonians under guardianship care safe and thriving. Our volunteer monitoring program makes a profound impact on seniors and disabled adults through wellness checks and court reports assessing quality of life.
What We Do
Guardians are appointed by the Court to make decisions on behalf of people who are unable to make those decisions for themselves. Most guardians are caring and responsible individuals. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Guardian Partners was started with the goal of providing oversight to ensure that protected persons are being treated with the utmost dignity and respect. In addition, we support guardians with education and connection to resources.
What We Need
- Administrative Support/Clerical
- Caring for People
- Counseling
Opportunities
- Virtual: Ongoing
Guardian Partners volunteers inspire me. Our work is preventing abuse of people with disabilities. And who is on the front lines actually doing that work? It's our volunteer case monitors. Many come with a background in law, healthcare or social work – but anyone can become a successful case monitor. The chief requirements are the intellectual and emotional maturity to conduct a wellness interview and the passion to make a difference. The difference we make in a protected person's live can be profound!
