Simplifying the Claims Process for Beneficiaries

We’re here to help you and your clients through the claims process.

Here’s how we’re committed to supporting beneficiaries who are claiming death benefits:

  • After we’re notified of a policyowner’s death, we send a deferred annuity claim form and easy-to-follow checklist to the beneficiary. We’ve simplified our claim form and added clear instructions.
  • We now require only one notarized page, along with a copy of the death certificate, for most common requests from beneficiaries. These include requests for continued spousal ownership and lump-sum payouts.
  • Our claims checklist outlines the requirements for all payment options.
