The Standard Promotes Mark MacGillivray to Director of Financial Institutions
The Standard announced on April 7, 2020, that Mark MacGillivray has been promoted to director of Financial Institutions.
Mark joined The Standard in 2006 and most recently served as regional sales director in Annuities. In that role, he has grown sales and developed deep relationships with partners who work with broker-dealers and banks. In his new position, Mark will work with The Standard’s internal sales team, regional sales directors and external partners to proactively seek out new broker-dealers and banks for the Individual Annuities business line at The Standard.
Prior to joining The Standard, he managed the administration of variable annuities at Northern Life and was previously a regional vice president at both ING Annuities (now VOYA Financial) and Old Mutual Financial Network (now F&G Annuities & Life).
“Mark will be key to working with our partners to bring on new financial institutions that will help The Standard go deeper and broader into the marketplace,” said Rich Lane, vice president of Individual Annuities sales and marketing at The Standard. “He will be a key factor in our growth goals for 2020 as he continues to add value to our customers.”
Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. He is a Certified Annuity Specialist and Certified Financial Fiduciary.
