Meet Our Newest IDI Team Member, Michael Prothe

Please join us in welcoming Michael Prothe. Michael is coming on board to The Standard as Regional Manager, IDI Sales. He brings more than two decades of experience in disability insurance and collaboration to this new role.

Michael most recently worked with disability insurance at Mutual of Omaha. His background in disability insurance solutions and financial planning makes him a real asset for our team. He will be a strong, reliable resource for our partners.

“I look forward to joining this experienced, dynamic IDI sales team,” says Michael. “Providing income protection solutions is my passion. I look forward to working with a new portfolio of disability offerings here with The Standard.”

Michael calls the Kansas City region home. He lives in Prairie Village, Kansas along with his wife Sharon. They have two children in college, Chace and Paige. In his free time, Michael enjoys reading, golf, cycling and spending time with his family.
