Maddy and Liam’s Health Maintenance Screening Benefit Story3
Liam was excited for the new school year. He looked forward to getting to know his new teacher and playing with friends at recess. Liam’s mom Maddy was on her way to completing their back-to-school to-do list. Visiting Liam’s primary physician for his annual physical exam was an item on the list.
At the exam, Liam’s physician completed a mental health screening. Maddy knows the mental health screening can support Liam’s continued well-being and that it’s a covered Health Maintenance Screening Benefit with her supplemental insurance through her employer.
While waiting in the physician’s office to wrap up the appointment, Maddy began submitting the Health Maintenance Screening Benefit claim online. Maddy:
- Logged into standard.com and started a new claim
- Entered information about Liam's screening
- Reviewed and submitted the claim in the online portal
- Got a confirmation that her claim was received
