What We Do
Animal Aid is a nonprofit, no-kill rescue and welfare organization passionately serving animals and the people they love since 1969. Our mission is to enhance the welfare of companion animals through individualized care and lifelong commitment, rescue and adoption, resources and education, and community partnerships. We operate a free-roam shelter for cats, a foster program for dogs and cats, and the Animal Aid Cares Fund, a partnership with local veterinarians, behaviorists, and trainers to offer funding for urgent medical or behavioral care.

Volunteers are critical to Animal Aid's operations, assisting with the daily care needs and enrichment of the cats in our free-roam shelter; welcoming foster dogs and cats into their home and heart; engaging with adopters, shelter visitors, and community members; and participating on a variety of teams to support events, fundraising, and so much more. We couldn't accomplish our mission without the incredible time and dedication our volunteers give to the welfare of animals in need.
