MIKE Program empowers youth to be health leaders through education, mentorship and community outreach.
What We Do
MIKE is a youth-focused health science education and disease prevention program that develops knowledge and social-emotional skills in underserved youth, cultivates personal and community engagement for health promotion, expands the number of diverse and culturally-competent health professionals, and prepares youth to be health advocates for themselves and future generations.

We enrich school-based settings for upstream improvement in health and healthcare, managing school partnerships, program implementation, and evaluation. Our unique focus is youth mentorship to increase personal resilience, improve health literacy, prepare health advocates, and increase participation in a healthcare career pipeline.
