The North Pole Studio supports careers in the arts, and exists to increase opportunities for artists with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities to thrive as active members of the arts community. We foster self-determination and facilitate meaningful connections through total engagement in the arts.
What We Do
The North Pole Studio provides accessible studio space and exhibition opportunities for neurodiverse artists in the professional arts community. Our programming is focused in three areas: creating access to opportunities, facilitating community engagement and professionally representing artists. We empower artists as active members of the community, and we support their growth through creative exploration, exhibition and mentorship. Our work contributes to building an art world that more equitably represents artists with autism and I/DD.

We create a space where each individual is given the time, space and support to express and share their story through the arts. And we believe that a collective understanding of diverse human experiences is foundational to a vibrant and whole community.
North Pole Studio’s founding artist, Davis Wohlford, identified the studio’s values as compassion, kindness, honesty, bravery and most of all, magic. Our community strives to practice these values every day.
