PSJ is Oregon's leading criminal justice reform organization. We advance reforms that reduce incarceration, advance racial justice, and address the needs of crime survivors, people convicted of crime, and the families of both.
What We Do
PSJ is Oregon's leading criminal justice reform organization. Our mission is to transform Oregon's response to crime through innovative solutions that ensure accountability, equity, and healing. We advance reforms that reduce incarceration, advance racial justice, and address the needs of crime survivors, people convicted of crime, and the families of both. Over the last few years, we've prevented the opening of two prisons and redirected over $180M into victim services, addiction treatment, and local programs that strengthen communities.

Opportunities
- Virtual: Ongoing
We must demand a new vision for public safety — one that values Black lives, invests in communities over prisons, and prioritizes solutions over punishment and isolation. Now more than ever, we must fight together for these values. Your time and energy are critical as we strengthen our movement to end mass incarceration and excessive criminalization in Oregon. Together we can keep our communities safe, address the underlying causes of harm, and help survivors heal.
