Youth Villages helps children and families live successfully by providing evidence-based programs designed to prevent youth from entering state systems, support those within them, and prepare those who are aging out for successful adulthood.
What We Do
Youth Villages treats young people who have a wide range of emotional and behavioral problems. In Oregon, we repair and restore families at risk of being separated; empower youth aging out of state systems of care with little to no support network; and respond to youth presenting in emergency rooms at risk of harming themselves and/or others. Youth Villages Oregon helped more than 750 young people and their families, last year.
We are currently looking for volunteers for our Ambassador Board, a diverse group of local emerging professionals who support our annual Backpack Heroes and Holiday Heroes campaigns. These drives provide school supplies and holiday gifts to more than 400 youth in our programs each year.

- Public Relations/Marketing
Opportunities
- In person: Ongoing
- Virtual: Ongoing
We believe that the rate of children in foster care can be safely cut in half with the right kind of help to these families. We also believe that we can develop the kinds of interventions that help young people aging out of that system so that they can all get the kind of support that they need. And that kids who face mental health and behavioral crisis can have access to the support that they need to stay healthy.
