The RFO Program provides resident-directed complaint resolution services for people living in homes licensed/certified for intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities or Mental Health Conditions. Focus on individual rights/enhanced quality of life.
What We Do
Ombudsmen investigate and resolve complaints made by, or on behalf of individual residents. Duties: Regular, unannounced visits in their homes; Receive, identify and investigate concerns on behalf of individuals; Educate and assist individuals to resolve complaints and exercise their rights; Advocate to resolve resident rights and quality of life issues; Interview employees or agents of the facility; Identify and report systemic issues affecting services for individuals. All services authorized by law or by rule [ORS 443.388].
