The Street Trust envisions and advocates for a complete, safe, low-carbon, multimodal transportation system that contributes to equity in access, opportunity, health and prosperity for people and communities across the Portland Metro region. The Street Trust advocates to break the political gridlock to address unsafe and incomplete public streets that threaten lives and livelihoods, and to win policy and investments that save lives, reduce barriers and expand opportunities to the people and neighborhoods our current system neglects.

For decades, we've run campaigns, invested in coalitions, championed policy, shaped legislation, educated the public, built advocacy infrastructure, and inspired communities for better transportation outcomes. What started as a group fighting to make Portland the world's best biking city has evolved beyond bike lanes to whole streets, beyond one mode to multimodal systems, beyond Portland to the entire metro area, and beyond interest groups to whole communities.
