Boosting Support as Oregon's PFML Program Draws Near

In August 2019, Oregon signed into law one of the nation's most generous, inclusive paid family and medical leave laws. In 2021, Oregon delayed its start dates for contributions to Jan. 1, 2023 and benefit payments to Sept. 3, 2023. With 12 weeks paid family and medical leave, 100% wage replacement for lowest wage earners and a tiered system for higher earners, a broader definition of family member, plus integration with Oregon's unpaid family medical leave, there are a lot of details to navigate as these start dates get closer.

The Standard is committed to providing you with updates as key details about Oregon's PFML plan are provided and activity gets underway. In addition to being actively involved in the state's regulatory development process, we’re also building out our product and service offering to ensure you're supported when the time comes to administer these plans.

As the program start date nears, we're updating several resources to keep you as informed as possible. You can subscribe to our blog, Relatively Speaking, take a look at our interactive PFML map for the most up-to-date state-specific information and check out the updates we send every month in Benefits Impact.
