Defined By Compassion
The COVID-19 global pandemic created a huge strain on our communities and community partners, and we will all undoubtedly feel the effects for some time.
At The Standard, we’ve been helping people achieve financial well-being and peace of mind since 1906. Never has our promise been more important than now as the global health crisis disrupts lives, communities and the economy. While the pandemic is tough on everyone, we recognize that the most vulnerable in our communities face a heightened risk. The crisis and the way we collectively respond will define a generation. The Standard, and the people who work here, as well as other local businesses and employees, neighbors and residents are all rising to the challenge.
We are sustained by the examples of those who make us the proudest right now — family, friends, neighbors and colleagues working together who are helping guide our nation through a truly unprecedented period in history. No matter how unsettled we may feel, remember we are not alone. There are so many people in this world trying their level best to help others. And we will get through this — together. In times of crisis, we are defined by how we respond. Let’s continue to be defined by compassion.
Our annual Community Engagement Report describes the caring activities of our company and our employees.
