Electronic Delivery of IDI Correspondence Coming Soon

On March 27, all agencies will begin receiving IDI correspondence by electronic delivery instead of by mail.

Your tool for receiving documents will be FilesAnywhere, a secure, cloud-based file-sharing platform. With this platform, you’ll receive correspondence daily.

The shift to electronic delivery covers most IDI letters. This includes benefit and cost-of-living increases, future purchase options, maturity extensions and coverage renewals. Your agency may still receive some letters by mail, including list bills, EFT notifications, data pages and a few others.

What to Know

The move to FilesAnywhere will be automatic for all agencies. Electronic delivery allows your agency and
The Standard to reduce paper waste. It also eliminates delays associated with mailing letters.

With FilesAnywhere, you’ll be able to sort and preview letters. And, you won’t have to manually sort to find specific letters.

The system will auto-delete documents older than 30 days from the system. For the letters you want to keep, you can download documents to your agency’s file system. And if there are letters you don’t need to keep, just let the system purge them.

You’ll receive a step-by-step guide on the system’s abilities before the full launch.

What’s Next

To set up your FilesAnywhere account, we’ll need one email to connect to the account. A representative from
The Standard will contact you about providing this information in early March. Then, you’ll receive separate emails with your account link and password.
